Jewelry TLC

Silver, copper and brass jewelry will darken over time and develop a patina. Periodic cleaning with a jewelry polishing cloth will keep metals nice and shinny . Never use harsh chemicals to clean your jewelry such as toothpaste or jewelry cleaning solution. A soft bristled toothbrush and warm water can help remove light residue from your jewelry. Some of my jewelry uses patinas and if you polish them you will remove the patina and effect the original design. Always avoid cleaning a pre patinated area.

Always avoid wearing jewelry while swimming, showering and sleeping.

Gemstones should be checked annually. With regular wear stones may become loose as a result of repeated bumps and abrasions. Periodic check ups can prevent stones from becoming damaged or falling out. Pave and melee stones will occasionally fall out, especially on bands with diamonds all the way around. Within 3 months of purchase, I will replace melee gemstones at no charge. After 3 months, I will replace melee diamonds and gemstones with a repair fee.
